What does it mean to be a center accredited by the Cervantes Institute?
Being a center accredited by the Cervantes Institute is an added value for your school as it gives you the opportunity to be part of the networking of examining centers of Cervantes Institute whose endorsement.
Belonging to the network of centers accredited by the Cervantes Institute means that, after a thorough evaluation of the academic activity, the teaching team, the facilities, the administrative information and the equipment, your center will become a benchmark of quality teaching Spanish both in Spain and internationally.

REQUIREMENTS AND DOCUMENTATION
Schools that meet the following general requirements may apply for Cervantes Accreditation:

Have classroom ELE teaching among their activities..

Comply with the minimum requirements of the Accreditation System of IC Centers in academic activities and teaching quality, facilities, equipment, administrative organization, information and publicity as well as the legal requirements detailed in the documentation section.

Be devoted to teaching as a professional activity and offer classroom ELE teaching among its activities, either individual or complementary.

Have a minimum experience of 2 years in ELE teaching offering Spanish courses of, at least, three levels.

Have a minimum of 2 Spanish teachers who are university graduates, accredited specialized training in ELE teaching for a minimum of 60 hours, have experience and permanent contracts in the company.

Have a Teaching Plan that includes: definitions, levels, specifications of objectives and contents, methodological guidelines and evaluation criteria.

Have facilities, with an activity license in force in the name of the owner of the center, which has a total area of at least150m2*

Have a space for teachers with computers with internet connection and printer, a library or multipurpose room and a common space for class breaks.
* This area may be lower in the event that the center is preferably dedicated to teaching Spanish or depending on the volume of the activity.

OUR TEAM
All professionals who belong to the Cervantes Accreditation project for Spanish schools are highly familiar with the approaches applied to the knowledge and acquisition of a foreign language along with the methodological aspects used in the teaching of second languages.
In addition, they have the necessary training to make didactic decisions related to teaching content and strategies as well as to design, apply and validate didactic approaches for language and communication in all its dimensions.
